Today a wonderful package arrived from Marti Murphy and I am thrilled to bits. Marti had made a Farm Girl outfit for my studio doll Inge.

I know that most farm girl or boy outfits are usually made from dull coloured fabrics, but as Inge has beautiful red hair and turquoise blue eyes, I asked Marti to make her outfit colourful and here it is.

Thank you so much Marti, I love the detail and the colours.

Inside my package from Marti were two pairs of JJ style walking boots. I had asked Marti to make them to go with my JJ Lederhosen’s.

Hi everyone I have at last got around to making up some prototype bunnies for your Sasha or Gregor dolls.

The bunnies are knitted using 2ply pure wool and their clothes can be knitted using either 2ply pure wool or 2ply pure cotton.

Bunny number 1, is made from Fenella 2 Ply – Wheaten colour wool, his joints have buttons and he had glass eyes and embroidered features. His legs arms and head move.

The overalls he is wearing are made from a brown colour 2ply cotton and can be removed. I have made this Bunny’s  ears slightly longer than the others.

below are some photos oh him with and without clothes.

There has been quite a bit of discussion lately about the appearance of the Suki dolls.

They seem to have the same effect as marmite, you either love them or you hate them.

I purchased a blank brunette one myself, because, one I was intrigued, two, to use the blank doll to practise painting Sasha eyes and three I  also wanted to see the similarities to Sasha dolls.

So with al little help from a few of my Sasha dolls, here are the comparisons.

The first  Sasha doll I compared the Suki doll with, was Maria a Gotz Sasha from the later production.

IMG_4024

As you can see the Suki doll is much shorter.

Body to body

IMG_4034

The feet are much smaller.

IMG_4037

A view for the arms

IMG_4038

As you can see Suki is not Asymmetrical.

IMG_4022

Here Suki is wearing a Sasha doll dress, which is much too large for her. Suki has long wavy hair made  from a saran type hair and a side part. The vinyl she is made from is very dark compared to Sasha dolls.

Now I am compering her with an early Trendon Sasha

So there you have it my little suki doll, she may not appeal to everyone, but then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I have decide to sell my rocking horse as I need to downsize a bit. I purchased this horse from the person that made him and was informed at the time that his Tac alone cost £100. He/she is a beautifully handmade rocking horse and is very detailed, down to the hand painting to his body which is extremely well done. The stirrups are brass and the saddle halter and reigns are made from high quality leather.  The mane and tail are real hair. I will let the photos do the talking and if you are interested in purchasing this beautiful horse please leave a comment with your contact details and I will get right back to you.
